With the emergence and spread of COVID-19 in the United States and, in particular, within New York State, Novaworks has been planning and preparing to ensure that this event causes minimal disruption to the services and software we provide for our clients. In that vein and in the interest of transparency, we would like to share some information about how we are currently addressing this situation and what steps your organization can take to ensure you are also prepared.

Version 5.3a of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release corresponds to EDGAR 20.1.1 and contains support for the 2020 XBRL taxonomies. Additionally, changes and improvements have been made to Page View, XBRL validation and XDX processing.

An interim release (version 5.2ab) of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This interim release addresses issues that have arisen due to the latest Windows 10 Feature Update 1909. Because this is an interim release that is not part of our regular updates, you will need to use the Updater.exe file within the application installation directory in order to update the software. Users who are working with IFRS inline XBRL are also encouraged to download this release.

Version 5.2a of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release corresponds to EDGAR 20.1 and contains changes to various EDGAR forms. Additionally, changes and improvements have been made to the Find and Replace and Proof to Browser functions and to Risk Return XDX. It also includes a new function, the ID Manager, to help manage and correct duplicate IDs inside HTML documents.

The SEC will be closed Wednesday, January 1st in observance of New Year’s Day. The EDGAR System will not receive, process or accept filings on this day. Filings with a due date of January 1 will be due the following business day.

The SEC will be closed Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 due to the closure of the federal government in these two days. The EDGAR System will not receive, process or accept filings on either of these days. Filings with a due date of December 24 or December 25 will be considered timely if filed on or before December 26.

Version 5.1d of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains corrections and improvements to Page View, XBRL View, and other EDGAR forms.

The SEC will be closed Thursday, November 28 in observance of Thanksgiving Day. The EDGAR System will not receive, process or accept filings on this day. Filings with a due date of November 28 will be due the following business day.

Version 5.1c of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains improvements to XDX editing, validation, and processing as well as improvements for Page View, XBRL View, and other EDGAR forms. Additionally, this version contains updates to the quick keys to allow user to program custom quick keys.

The SEC will be closed Monday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day. The EDGAR System will not receive, process or accept filings on this day. Filings with a due date of November 11 will be due the following
business day.

Version 5.1b of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release corresponds to EDGAR Release 19.3 and wraps up the EDGAR changes that were released on Friday with version 5.1a. In this release are a few improvements as well as some corrections, namely to the XBRL Previewer and the XDX Setup Wizard to incorporate additional inline XBRL changes that were introduced with EDGAR 19.3.

Version 5.1a of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release corresponds to EDGAR Release 19.3 and contains support for 12 character EDGAR filing passwords. This release also contains a number improvements to the SGML parser to allow users to more easily open and edit HTML and XML files with extremely large tags. Also new are DQC validation rules for XBRL and other improvements and corrections for ATS-N, N-CEN and Section 16.

Version 5.0c of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains a number improvements and corrections to Page View, iXBRL View, and XDX View, including improvements to the automatic cover page tagging for inline XBRL. Various EDGAR form improvements have also been made.
