Course Description
Network Account Management v10.4 is a three-day course that focuses on planning, deploying, and managing user and computer accounts. Students will learn to architect, implement and maintain a centralized user, workgroup, and computer list account management system based on Mac OS X Server v10.4 for both Macintosh and Windows clients. A combination of lecture, discussions and hands-on exercises provides practical real-world experience.

Who Should Attend:
This class is designed for system administrators and other technical professionals in an organization or education institution who are tasked with implementing and maintaining centralized account management systems based on Mac OS X Server v10.4 for both Macintosh and Windows clients.

Prerequisites Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending this course:
- Completion of MacOS 200 Mac OS X Server Essentials v10.4, or equivalent knowledge

Course Outline

Topic	Description
Chapter 1: Planning Your Account Management Strategy	Create a strategy for managing multiple types of users and resources through user, group, and computer accounts.
Chapter 2: Managing the User Experience	Implement a user account management strategy by using Workgroup Manager to apply preference management to user, group, and computer accounts.
Chapter 3: User Accounts	Configure portable users accounts including setting file synchronization options.
Chapter 4: Managing Windows User Accounts	Integrate Windows user accounts into a Mac OS X-based management scheme.
Chapter 5: Managing Network Access	Configure any network resources that are presented by the Finder.
Chapter 6: Apple Remote Desktop and Auditing	Use Apple Remote Desktop to configure computers, monitor and assist users, and auditing computers resources and user activity.
